Sark glass tiles are GREEN
Sark glass tile has 98% post consumer recycled content including the fiberglass mesh backing. These tiles are fired using electric kilns. Our factory is located in Spain where wind turbines generate much of the electricity. We know these products will fit your standards of excellence for sustainability and help build a greener world.

Installation Instructions for Glass Tile:
CUTTING: Small format glass tile are best cut with specialty glass mosaic tile cutters or use a wet saw. Cut edges are very sharp and should be smoothed with carbide paper or a “white stone”. Do not use a dry masonry blade, as glass will break.
SETTING MATERIALS: Setting materials are available through Sark Tile. Recommended materials need to be white thin-set mortar.
INSTALLATION: Use a 3/16” v-notched trowel to firmly apply a liberal amount of setting material to the substrate. With firm, even pressure apply sheets of tile into the setting material, using a wooden beating block or rubber grouting float to create a flat surface. Use only as much adhesive as can be covered within 10-15 minutes or while the adhesive surface is still wet and tacky. Carefully align each sheet as it is installed to create uniform grout joints from sheet to sheet. Allow tile to set until firm.
GROUTING: Grouting may be done after tile is firmly set, approximately 24 hours after installation. Apply un-sanded grout with a rubber float. Clean surface with a clean, damp sponge.
CLEANING: Normal cleaning of Sark Glass Tile can be done with room temperature water and a rag. For a more thorough cleaning and to remove stubborn dirt and stains, use a tile and grout cleaner available through Sark Tile. The Tile Council of America offers detailed grout cleaning information on their website, www.tileusa.com (under “Technical Services” scroll text down to “Tile Technical Reference Library”, click “Frequently asked questions and answers”, click “Cleaning Grout”).
